Fordham Heights - The Bronx - NYC

Located in The South Bronx, and centered on Grand Concourse, is the bustling neighborhood of Fordham Heights. Across East Fordham Road is the shopping complex of Fordham Center and the neighborhood of Fordham Manor. It is flanked by Belmont to the east, across Webster Avenue, and University Heights to the west, across Jerome Avenue. Burnside Avenue forms the southern border with Mt. Hope.

One of the most famous personalities associated with Fordham Heights is Edgar Allan Poe, the renowned American writer, and poet. Poe lived in the neighborhood's Edgar Allan Poe Cottage for a brief period, and his time there inspired some of his literary works.
