The walkway across the Manhattan Bridge offers a beautiful vista: The Brooklyn Bridge spanning the East River between Brooklyn and the Financial District of Lower Manhattan.

The Empire State Building
Offering sweeping vistas of Midtown Manhattan and the Upper East Side, Roosevelt Island is a hidden gem in New York City. Here, the colors of the Empire State Building contrast with the silhouettes of the buildings around the United Nations in the Turtle Bay neighborhood of Manhattan.

Winter Garden Atrium
Battery Park City is a modern, glittering neighborhood just west of the World Trade Center. It's anchored by Brookfield Place (formerly the World Financial Center), whose centerpiece is the Winter Garden Atrium. Taken from North Cove, this long-exposure photo shows just how far the area has come over the past fifteen years.

Columbus Circle - Midtown
Located in the far northwestern corner of Midtown (and southwest corner of Central Park), at the intersection of Broadway, 8th Avenue and West 58th & 59th Streets is Columbus Circle. Here the Big Dipper, the Time Warner Towers, and the spire of Central Park Place look down on the lights and traffic of this iconic location.

LOVE - Midtown
One of the iconic sights in Midtown Manhattan is the "Love" sculpture at West 57th Street and the Avenue of the Americas. With all of the tourists it attracts, it's almost impossible to get a clear shot of it during the day. But at night is a different story. Here, a long exposure provides a vivid, colorful image.

Reflections of New York City
There's a reason why Williamsburg, Brooklyn, has been an up-and-coming neighborhood. It's located on the L-Train and it features a breathtaking view of Manhattan. Pull up just about any waterfront spot, wait for the sun to go down ... and you'll be in for exquisite visuals.
Bright lights, big city indeed!

City of Gold
For the next couple of weeks I'll be highlighting the work I've been doing this summer in New York City as the sun sets and the bright lights take center stage. Here we see the remnants of sunset over the Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis Reservoir in Central Park. The prominent twin-towered building is the aptly-named "Eldorado" (after the fabled Lost City of Gold) luxury apartment building at 300 Central Park West.
